Outside – In | Nature of Things brings together beauty, wellness, hospitality, and landscape within a new flagship destination at 31 Crosby Street in SoHo. Conceived by Carisa Janes in collaboration with Shanghai-based F.O.G. Architecture, the project combines distinct retail environments for Outside In and Nature of Things with a fragrance gallery, café, and hidden garden.
Hart Studio Architecture served as Architect of Record, working closely with the client, design team, and consultants to translate the ambitious concept into a coordinated and buildable project within an existing New York City building. The interiors are defined by sculptural forms, custom fabrication, integrated lighting, and an expressive material palette—from curved loofah walls and stone elements to the luminous coved ceiling and oculus of the Outside In space.
